Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ‘ready’ to take over at Bayern Munich, insists Christoph Metzelder
Bundesliga giants are looking for new head coach following the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti last week and Metzelder is adamant Klopp is the man for Bayern Munich
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp should be the next manager of Bayern Munich, insists Christoph Metzelder.
The former German international has run the risk of infuriating the red half of Merseyside with his thoughts, claiming Klopp is the outstanding candidate for the vacancy.
The Bundesliga giants sacked Carlo Ancelotti after their Champions League embarrassment at Paris Saint-Germain and lag five points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund in the league.
Klopp, 50, joined Liverpool in 2015 replacing Brendan Rodgers and last year penned a new six-year contract extension at Anfield.
Former Bayern defender Willy Sagnol has taken over on an interim basis.
Former Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel and Hoffenheim boss Julien Nagelsmann are in the mix for the Bavarian hot-seat.

However, Metzelder thinks the Bayern top brass should be going all out to get Klopp back to Germany.
He told Sky Sports Germany: “From my point of view, Jurgen Klopp would be ready.
“He is a top man-manager and could make the complex power relationship work wonderfully.
“Julian Nagelsmann is an outstanding trainer, but Bayern Munich is of course a different size (club to Hoffenheim)."
