Liverpool transfer news: Olaus Jair Skarsem on radar as Reds eye raid for Rosenborg starlet
LIVERPOOL are said to be keeping tabs on Rosenborg starlet Olaus Jair Skarsem.
Former Reds defender Stig Inge Bjornebye is sporting director at the Norwegian club.
And, according to reports in Norway, Reds are monitoring the 19-year-old midfielder.
Skarsem is currently playing in the Rosenborg 2 squad, although he made his debut in 2016 and and is regarded as one for the future.
Kare Ingebrigtsen side won the league last year but failed to make it through to the Champions League group stage after a play-off round defeat to Celtic.
It remains to be seen whether Skarsem will feature in their Europa League campaign.
But he is not the only young playmaker being eyed by Liverpool.
A higher-profile name on Jurgen Klopp's radar is Dortmund wonderkid Christian Pulisic.
As SunSport revealed, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was primed to step up his pursuit of Pulisic had Barcelona won their tug of war over Philippe Coutinho.
According to reports, Arsenal and Real Madrid are now vying with the Reds and Spurs to sign the 19-year-old American.
Pulisic is enjoying a fine opening to the season for Dortmund and has started seven games for new manager Peter Bosz.
