Chelsea boss Antonio Conte on alert with Antonio Candreva set to leave Inter Milan

Candreva was on Chelsea radar in the summer after a year at San Siro but Inter held firm and refused to do business with the Premier League champions

INTER MILAN star Antonio Candreva could be on his way out, putting Chelsea on red alert, according to reports.

Calciomercato claim the winger is having a tough time in Serie A after being linked with a switch to Chelsea in the summer.

After a good first season at Inter, Candreva has been the target of the San Siro boo-boys following Inter’s draw against Genoa on Sunday.

The winger joined Inter from Lazio for £19million last year and scored eight goals in 45 appearances last season.

Blues boss Antonio Conte could offer the Italian international a Premier League escape route in Januaryi fhis situation does not improve.

Inter boss Luciano Spaletti admitted pre-season the Premier League champions wanted his player, but the club were adamant he was going nowhere.

Spalletti said: “My position is to keep him and the club agrees with me, for now he has not shown any other signals.

“We go forward calmly, then I don’t know what could happen tomorrow.

“As far as I can tell, Chelsea could try to do something.”

The Blues wanted to make more additions to the squad during the summer transfer window.

They saw deals fall through for Ross Barkley and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and will be keen to make signings if the right player are available.
