Twitter trolls savage Arsenal as they get used to life without Champions League for first time in 21 years
Arsene Wenger's side miss out on a spot at Europe's top table and will be resigned to watching on television
ARSENAL were savaged on Twitter as they got used to life without the Champions League for the first time in 21 years.
Arsene Wenger's side missed out on a spot at Europe's top table after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season.
Instead Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Co will be enviously watching on television.
And they will have to wait for Thursday night and the visit of Cologne to get their first taste of European action this season.
Until then, the Gunners will continue getting savaged online by merciless tweeters.
One viral image showed Arsenal stars lining up for a team photo... only to have a TV set placed in front of them.
Another had a starting line-up... but with the names above cinema seats.
And one user quipped that if a man takes a woman out on a date on a Tuesday or Wednesday night it's not because it's love... it's because he is an Arsenal fan.
