Vincent Janssen ‘to quit Tottenham in January after snubbing deadline day moves to West Brom and Brighton’

Daniel Levy was reportedly keen to offload the striker on deadline day because he is not performing for the club

VINCENT JANSSEN is set to quit Spurs in January after opting out of deadline day moves to West Brom and Brighton, according to reports.

Telesport claim the Dutch striker - who was playing in Holland's 4-0 World Cup qualifier defeat to France last Thursday - did not want to leave Tottenham.

SunSport told you earlier this year that Janssen had absolutely no intention of leaving Spurs.

That is despite his struggles since joining from AZ Alkmaar for £17million last summer.

Tony Pulis' side launched a £23m move for the 23-year-old during the last transfer window.

Getting a £6m profit on a player who scored only two league goals last season would have represented typical good business for Levy.

A loan move to Premier League newboys Brighton was allegedly considered too, although this fell through.

But Janssen was reportedly focused solely on the international match and not his potential move away.

The Dutch report then goes on to claim that Janssen will not have a way back into the Spurs first team.

And this will force a move away from North London in January.

Borussia Monchengladbach were thought to be interested in Janssen at one point.

And Galatasaray were also said to be weighing up a move.
