Nahki Wells completes £5million transfer from Huddersfield Town to Burnley after passing his medical
Former Bradford man is still recovering from ankle surgery and is set to miss several weeks after having surgical pin removed
NAHKI WELLS has completed his £5million transfer from Huddersfield Town to Burnley after passing his medical.
The medical held the key to the deal with the former Bradford man still recovering from ankle surgery.
He had the pin removed from an operation he had several years ago and is still several weeks away from full fitness.
The Clarets are still waiting for a reply from Everton over their enquiry for winger Aaron Lennon.
Bermudian international forward Wells spent three seasons at Bradford before bagging a move to the Terriers.
He joined on loan before penning a permanent deal, playing for four seasons at the John Smith's Stadium.
Now, with Burnley having sold Andre Gray to Watford this summer, Clarets boss Sean Dyche is hoping to add more depth to his front-line.
As well as the deal for Wells, Dyche has already signed former Leeds United man Chris Wood.

The move paid dividends too, as the New Zealand international netted a late equaliser in Burnley's 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley.
For his career, Wells scored 44 times in 143 Championship games for Huddersfield.
Prior to that he scored 42 times in 91 games for Bradford and is now on the books of Burnley.
