CRYSTAL PALACE and Middlesbrough are competing to sign £3million Cameroon international defender Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui.
The 26-year-old helped Slavia Prague lift the Czech Republic title last season.
And he shone for his national team as they won the African Nations Cup in Gabon in February.
The versatile Ngadeu-Ngadjui can operate as either a centre-back or defensive midfielder.
Beleaguered Palace boss Frank de Boer wants to add the African ace to his squad as they seek to overcome a nightmare start to the new season.
The Dutchman has lost all three Premier League games so far.
Meanwhile, Boro chief Garry Monk is also keen on Ngadeu-Ngadjui.
The ex-Swansea and Leeds United manager as he plots to return the Teessiders to the top flight at the first time of asking.
