SLAVEN BILIC will hold crunch talks with West Ham supremo David Sullivan today as he battles to save his job.
Bilic is already under intense pressure from the boardroom after three straight defeats left the Hammers rock-bottom of the Premier League.
Sullivan is heading out of the country for a working break but will talk with his manager on the phone to get answers for Saturday’s 3-0 horror defeat at Newcastle.
They will also try to thrash out a plan to help turn things around when the team returns after the international break.
Croat Bilic is in the last year of a three-season contract and retains the overwhelming support of the Hammers fans.
And club insiders believe the manager has been seriously let down by senior players who are making mistakes and failing to concentrate fully during games.
Bilic will use the talks to press his case further for bringing in defensive midfielder William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon.
But the Hammers hierarchy are reluctant to meet the Portuguese club’s asking price of £40million.

With the transfer window closing on Thursday, the Londoners still hope to agree a compromise deal at around £30m.
Speaking after the defeat at St James' Park, Bilic admitted he is "worried".
The 48-year-old said: "I am worried. I'm not panicking, but... after the game against Southampton, we lost (3-2), we still had zero points but I was still very, very positive with the way we played, with the way we reacted after we were left with 10 men.
"This is different, this is worrying. But, like for every club, it has its ups and downs and nobody will take us out of this situation but ourselves."
"They [mistakes] are worrying, it is concerning.
"But it doesn't have to be that every time we make a mistake, it has to be a goal. Still you can make up for those mistakes, still we can defend better."
