Liverpool transfer news: Reds boss Jurgen Klopp reiterates club’s stance that Philippe Coutinho is not for sale
JURGEN KLOPP has reiterated Liverpool's desire to keep Philippe Coutinho at the club amid Barcelona's strong interest.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of three bids from the Catalan club, which the Reds have knocked back immediately.
Speaking after the 4-0 drubbing against Arsenal at Anfield, the former Borussia Dortmund boss revealed his Brazilian playmaker is not for sale.
He told Sky Sports: "It is not about confidence in this situation, it is about what the owners have said. That is the situation.
"There is no problem like this. You can imagine, if he had been a part of this game it probably would not have been worse huh?
"Today we had 11 outstanding individual performances."
Coutinho has already handed in a transfer request in a bid to force through a move to the Nou Camp.
Barca have recently brought in Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele in for a whopping £138million - the second highest ever transfer ever after Neymar's £198m switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
