Roberto Firmino insists Liverpool can emerge from the pack and land Premier League glory
Says Brazilian striker: 'We have a chance because the league is a very open - there doesn't exist an out-and-out favourite'
ROBERTO FIRMINI has stuck his flag in the Premier League sand and insisted that Liverpool can win the title.
The Brazilian striker says the Reds must consolidate with a place in the top four - and then lead the way as the season progresses.
Confident Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon having taken four points from their two opening league games.
And they've also polished off Hoffenheim in their Champions League qualifier.
Firmino said: ""We must at least repeat our performance of last year by finishing in the top four - and then fight for the title.
"The team is also very motivated by the experience of being back in the Champions League.
"The target is to finish in the best possible position and we are aiming high.
"I think we have a chance because the Premier League is a very open competition this year. For me there doesn't exist an out-and-out favourite.

"That's what makes the season exciting. All the squads have improved but there isn't one single 'super team'. Everybody will believe they have a chance."
Firmino also told the Mirror: "The key for us is to win our games at Anfield and make it an impossible place for rivals to visit.
"But you can see it will be a closer title race than in the past. So we need to take our opportunity."
Once again Barcelona transfer target Philippe Coutinho will be missing. The club say he is laid low by illness.
