Manchester United and Inter Milan in for Tottenham star Danny Rose as defender nears return from injury
Spurs left-back has become one of the best in the Premier League but a knee injury has seen him out of action since January
TOTTENHAM are bracing themselves to fend off bids from Manchester United and Inter Milan for Danny Rose, according to reports.
The England international has been linked with a move away from Spurs but a knee injury seemed to scupper any deal going through this transfer window.
But, according to the Mirror, both United and Inter are ready to step their interest up as the left-back recovers from his injury.
Rose, 27, is likely to stay at Tottenham with club chiefs reiterating their position that they do not have to sell any players.
The only outgoing so far has been Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50million.
And it would take a mammoth bid from either United or Inter to prise Rose away from the North London club.
Rose is likely to miss the start of the season as he continues his recovery from the injury he picked up back in January.
He was outstanding last season, and his form has cemented his place in the England team before being sidelined.
Ben Davies, who has played second fiddle to Rose since joining from Swansea, has stepped up and enjoyed an extended run in the side.

And the prospect of higher wages at Old Trafford could tempt Rose to make the move.
Rose is on around £65,000-a-week but could easily double his wages if he switched to Manchester.
