Watford and Hull are in an £8million fight for Liverpool flop Lazar Markovic.
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp has decided to ditch Markovic, and is prepared to take a staggering £13million hit on the Serbian international winger.
Markovic, 22, has failed to make an impact since arriving at Anfield as a £21million capture from Benfica three years ago and has managed just 19 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
Now he is up for grabs at a knockdown price following disappointing loan spells at Fenerbahce and Sporting Lisbon.
Klopp did his best to drum up interest in Markovic by insisting: "Lazar is a really good player, and I am sure there will be a club somewhere out there that needs him."
There are two - with the Hornets and the Tigers both keen to hand him the chance to resurrect his career in England.
Watford boss Marco Silva signed him on loan during his spell in charge at Hull last January and is a big admirer.
Leonid Slutsky, Silva's successor at the KCOM, is also a fan and sees Markovic as an ideal replacement for Ahmed Elmohamady who quit the relegated East Yorkshire outfit for a £1million move to Aston Villa earlier this month.
