Bakayoko arrived in the UK last night via Eurostar, believed to be heading for a medical at Cobham later today.

However, the France international has sent Chelsea supporters into full-blown panic mode following a couple of tweets sent from his official account.

The first post included two British Beefeater emojis, two Union Jacks and the message: "Good morning."

However, the location of the tweet in question read: "Manchester".

That post was soon deleted, leading to a huge sigh relief from the Stamford Bridge faithful.

A picture earlier on had emerged showing Bakayoko posing with Chelsea star David Luiz and super-agent Kia Joorabchian, hinting that a deal with Antonio Conte's side was close.

But hope turned to fear again when the ace posted yet another tweet, this time showing a red circle, a white circle and two heart emojis.

This led to an outburst of pleas from Chelsea fans for Bakayoko to "please stop trolling", with some noticing he'd also followed Manchester United on Instagram, as well as Red Devils stars Marcus Rashford and Eric Bailly.

One wrote: "I give up. You're trolling us all the time!"

Another said: "Jose hijacked his plane from London to Manchester."

One angry supporter added: "Go to Manchester since you wanna be childish with your teasers."

Whether Bakayoko signs for United remains to be seen, with Chelsea supporters sure to be waiting with bated breath until a deal is pushed over the line.
