Real Madrid give up David De Gea chase while Eden Hazard tells Zinedine Zidane he will not join Champions League winners this summer
The duo were linked with moves to the Bernabeu but reports suggest both will be staying put in the Premier League
REAL MADRID have given up their chase of David De Gea — while Eden Hazard has told the club he does not want to join them.
The Champions League winners have been linked with moves for the Manchester United keeper and Chelsea's wing wizard for a number of months.
But, according to Don Balon, Real have decided to ditch plans of a bid for De Gea, 26, as Jose Mourinho is furious over their handling of Alvaro Morata negotiations.
United wanted to bring the out-of-favour Spaniard to Old Trafford with a deal looking likely at one point.
But talks stalled and Mourinho opted to splash out £75million on Everton forward Romelu Lukaku instead.
And now Mourinho is refusing to do business with the La Liga giants.
Meanwhile, Diario Gol are reporting that Eden Hazard, 26, called Real boss Zinedine Zidane to tell him he has no intention of moving to the Bernabeu.

But now it seems he will stay put at Stamford Bridge this summer as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
But the reports also claims Hazard refused to rule out a move to the Spanish capital in the future.
Hazard — who joined the Blues in 2012 for £32million — has spoken before about his desire to move to Real.
When asked about interest from Real last month he said: “Of course, that’s all.
"We all dream. Of course, I would consider it if Madrid made an offer.
“I am keen to win trophies. It would be great to win the Champions League.
"But Chelsea’s goal is to win the Champions League as well.
“Honestly, I do not know what will happen. I only know that I still have a contract with Chelsea for three seasons and that we just had an amazing campaign.
"We want to continue on this path and want to build on this in the Champions League.
"I am feeling very well at Chelsea. But you never know what will happen.
“I have not met with the board yet to discuss a new deal.
"I have two games with Belgium coming up first and I am off on my holiday after that.
"I want to think about football as little as possible."
