JESSE LINGARD showed what the beautiful game is all about as he surprised some young Manchester United fans with a kickabout on their street.
The Old Trafford midfielder was driving through a neighbourhood near Manchester when some local children immediately recognised him in his sports car.
The kids sprinted over to his car window screaming, with eyes wide in disbelief that one of their idols was on their patch.
One of the youngsters made a piercing scream, while another yelled, "It's Lingard!" while holding his head in his hands.
But given the children had a football close at hand, the 24-year-old could not refuse a kickabout.
Another video clip posted on to his Instagram stories shows Lingard dribbling the ball at full speed, before kicking it into a goal in front of some trees.
United ace Lingard was one of Jose Mourinho's most relied-upon players last season, but despite scoring some spectacular goals has been dogged by inconsistent performances.
But he showed his class along with local pal Marcus Rashford after the Manchester attacks, with the pair going to visit stricken kids in hospital with United shirts to sign.
Lingard, 24, from Warrington has made it home ahead of the start of United's pre-season training on July 8.
The Red Devils play LA Galaxy on July 15, before playing Real Salt Lake, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valarenga and Sampdoria.
United then get their Premier League season underway against West Ham at Old Trafford on August 12.
