Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been plotting a summer swoop for the 16-year-old.

However, Sessegnon will pen his first pro deal with the Craven Cottage outfit when he turns 17 on May 18.

He is currently only on a scholarship contract with Fulham and could have left the club for pastures new prior to signing professional – although the Cottagers would have been entitled to a compensation fee.

Despite him being set to pen the deal it is unlikely to deter the top clubs from making a move this summer.

But this will at least allow Fulham to demand a large fee for their young star.

Sessegnon bagged the first goal in his side’s 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Monday to help them climb into the play-off spots.

They take on Huddersfield, Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday in their final three matches as they attempt to pip Leeds for a top six place.
