United boss Jose Mourinho is still on the hunt for top quality additions to the squad this season as he looks to mount a Premier League title challenge.

Mourinho has identified Isco and wants to bring the Spanish international to Old Trafford in January, according to AS.

Before the Spaniard move to the Bernebau, he was heavily link with a move to Manchester City to link up with his old Malaga boss Manuel Pelligrini.

Isco opted to stay in Spain and join Los Blancos in 2013 for £23m, days after Mourinho announced his departure from the La Liga giants.

However, the 24-year old has failed to hold down a regular starting place in midfield and all his three appearances this season in the league have come from the bench.

AC Milan are monitoring the situation by the Italian can't set up any January moves until the clubs takeover has been completed and a new hierachy appointed.

The stylish playmaker has been continually overlooked by boss Zinedine Zidane and if Isco does become available in January, a posse of top European will be ready to fight for his signature.
