Manchester United ‘scout Kieran Tierney’ in Celtic’s 4-0 League Cup rout of Dundee
Talent spotter was also seen in the stands for clash with Paris St-Germain as highly-rated left-back is linked with Old Trafford
MANCHESTER UNITED scouted Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney in the win over Dundee, according to reports.
BBC pundit Alan Stubbs saw a Red Devils talent spotter in the stands for the 4-0 rout.
And after United also watched the Celts being demolished 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain, Tierney is their believed target.
The Scottish international, 20, has been on the radar of several top Premier League teams for some time after a series of stunning performances.
Left-back has been an issue for United boss Jose Mourinho, with Luke Shaw suffering a number of injury problems.
He made his latest comeback after four months out as a substitute as the Prem pace-setters made light work of Burton in the Carabao Cup.
But former Southampton star Shaw, 22, failed to impress and is running out of chances having been publicly criticised by Mourinho last season.
Ex-United full-back Phil Neville told SkySports: "I see someone that’s been criticised by his manager publicly and he’s probably fighting for his Man United future, come on in a game like this against Burton.

"You’re 3-0 up, there’s nothing to lose and you’ve just come back from a long injury, you absolutely sprint everywhere.
"And I didn’t see that real hunger to sprint to every ball, to sprint forward, to sprint back, I saw someone that’s coasting.
"He needs to come out of that comfort zone of coasting because if he wants to be a Man United left-back he needs to play at the level of a Ander Herrera.
"He got his chance tonight and he flew into every tackle and went into every ball and Shaw needs to get up to his intensity every minute of every game he plays for this football club. At the moment he’s not.
"He looked a long way off.
"I know he’s been out injured but we’re waiting for the real Luke Shaw. I think he’s good enough to play here but I need to see more from him."
