Everton want £8m for Oumar Niasse, with Brighton a possible destination for the 27-year-old Senegal striker

The wantaway forward eyes a move away from Goodison Park to end nightmare spell under the management of Ronald Koeman

EVERTON are willing to offload outcast Oumar Niasse for a fee of £8m as the transfer deadline closes in.

Newly-promoted Brighton have been linked with the wantaway striker after pulling out of a deal for Raphael Dwamena form Zurich.

Niasse, who earns a whopping £80,000-per-week, is yet to feature in a competitive fixture for Everton under the reign of Ronald Koeman.

Brighton missed out on the signing of Dwamena because of a failed medical, which has reignited their interest in the forward.

The 27-year-old was signed for Everton for £13.5m from Lokomotiv Moscow last year by former Toffees chief Roberto Martinez.

After going off the boil at Goodison Park, he joined Hull towards the latter stages of last term and tallied four goals in 17 Premier League outings.

However, new boss Koeman has confirmed that Niasse does not feature in his plans for this year's top-flight campaign.

The Toffees coach banished the forward to the U23's squad in order to attract interest before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Burnley and Newcastle have also voiced their interest in the wantaway striker.

The Senegalese international was heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but it appears he is bound for a spell on the south coast.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton is keen to bolster his attack after only managing to scrape one point from his first three fixtures in the top-flight.
