SunSport exclusively revealed last week Ibrahimovic was set to remain at Old Trafford for the coming season.

He wants to carry on his knee rehab with the club, then prove he is the number one striker at United.

The former Barcelona and Ajax ace is planning a visit to America in the next few weeks for a meeting with his surgeons.

He underwent surgery from world-renewed Freddie Fu and will meet up with him again in Pittsburg later this month for a check-up.

Ibrahimovic also came through his first full week's worth of rehab at Carrington in the last seven days.

He has been watching his kids in action at United's Littleton Road training site in nearby Salford for a while.

And he no longer needs to wear a knee brace to support himself, as his return to the pitch nears ever closer.
