Arsenal and Manchester United target Djibril Sidibe pens new five-year Monaco contract
Full-back has opted to stay with the French champions until the summer of 2022
MONACO ace Djibril Sidibe has penned a new contract - ending speculation over a switch to the Premier League.
Arsenal and Manchester United had both been linked with summer moves for the talented full-back.
But any hopes of landing his signature appear over after signing a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions.
It will come as a huge boost for Monaco who are set to lose a host of their key players who won them the title last season.
Bernardo Silva has already signed for Manchester City whilst team-mate Benjamin Mendy is set to follow.
And the French side are also braced to lose Kylian Mbappe this summer in a world record switch.
Sidibe's impressive performances earned him his first call up to the France national squad last season before Monaco's vice-president Vadim Vasilyev revealed he "deserved to join a top European club."
And a statement released on Monaco's official site read: "Monaco are happy to announce the extension of the contract of Djibril Sidibe, who is now tied to the club until June 2022."

Sidibe said of his new contract: "I'm proud and honoured to wear this shirt. It's the reward for the hard work done during the season, collectively and individually."
Meanwhile Man City are closing in on Mendy in a deal worth £40million.
The Ligue 1 champions last week signed Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo in a £13.1million deal.
That was big news for City chiefs, who know that Mendy had made it clear he wanted a move.
