The Ox has grown increasingly frustrated with life at the Gunners over his contract situation and lack of playing time.

The 23-year-old started just 16 Premier League matches last season and a host of league rivals, including Chelsea, are keeping close tabs.

But it appears Jurgen Klopp's side are in pole position to land his signature having been long-term admirers of the player according to the Independent.

With the threat of losing Oxlade-Chamberlain for nothing in a years time, it is believed a fee of around £25million will be enough to secure his signature.

And he may not be the only player leaving the club this summer as Wenger plans a shake up of his faltering squad.

Olivier Giroud has been linked with a switch to Marseille whilst Jack Wilshere's future looks bleak at the Emirates having returned from a loan spell at Bournemouth.
