Man City extend Premier League lead; Chelsea beat Man United; Spurs win

Manchester City secured their 10th win in 11 Premier League games, extending their lead at the top of the table with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Kevin De Bruyne scored City's 50th goal of the season during a dominant first-half display before Sergio Aguero added a penalty.

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back for the visitors but Gabriel Jesus wrapped up City's club record-extending 15th successive win after 74 minutes.

Arsenal may have had grievances over two of City's goals but the hosts were full value for their victory, which was also their ninth in succession in the Premier League.

A fine header from Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge to allow City to stretch their advantage at the top of the table.

After a high-tempo start to the match, the pace decreased and United manager Jose Mourinho's players were unable to break the deadlock against his former club at the break.

The home side took control of the match in the second half and, after Eden Hazard had thumped a first-time effort at David De Gea, took a deserved 55th-minute lead when Cesar Azpilicueta's cross was superbly headed home by the unmarked Morata.

The win moves fourth-placed Chelsea to within a point of Tottenham and United, who remain in second on goal difference.

Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways in domestic football as Son Heung-Min's goal proved enough to see off an unlucky Crystal Palace at Wembley.

Spurs, without Dele Alli because of a hamstring strain, made a shaky start in their first game after the memorable midweek win over Real Madrid. That Champions League victory had come after a Carabao Cup defeat against West Ham and a Premier League loss at Manchester United in their previous two games.

The goal came after 64 minutes when the ball fell to Son on the edge of the box after a cross was not properly dealt with, and the South Korea international curled an outstanding finish past Speroni to become the highest-scoring Asian player in Premier League history.

Everton moved out of the relegation zone in dramatic fashion as they beat Watford 3-2 at Goodison Park.

Richarlison struck shortly after half-time and then Christian Kabasele scored midway through the second half to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.

But the Toffees rallied and a spirited fightback saw Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled them level after the injured Heurelho Gomes was replaced by Orestis Karnezis in the Watford goal.

Leighton Baines then scored a penalty in the first minute of stoppage time, but Everton had to endure 12 added minutes -- during which time Tom Cleverley missed a spot kick for Watford -- before they secured a first win for caretaker David Unsworth and end a run of eight matches without a victory in all competitions.
