Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has told SFR Sport he aims to make Arsene Wenger rethink his decision to use him as a substitute.
Giroud, on the bench for Sunday's Community Shield win over Chelsea, played a bit-part role last season but scored 12 goals in his 11 Premier League starts.
The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette has increased Wenger's options, with the former Lyon man given the starting role against Chelsea before being replaced by Giroud after 66 minutes.
Giroud, 30, went on to score the shootout penalty that clinched victory and said: "It's up to the manager to decide.
"I'm here to do my best, as always, to make the manager doubt his decisions, give my best for the team, always with the aim of winning the Premier League this season.
"I feel good. I'm an Arsenal player, I have two years on my contract at least. I am really focused on the team, on what I have to do when the manager calls on me."
Lacazette, Arsenal's club record signing following his €53 million switch, told SFR he would have to get used to the new challenges posed by the Premier League.
"It's really box-to-box here, as they say, but I'm not worried about that -- it'll come little by little," he said.
"I feel better and better in the squad and I think you can see that on the pitch. I think we played well, we played good football, we were united from the start to the end, and it's good for the club.
"We can't stop with a win in the Community Shield. We have to keep working."
