Hull KR have signed Jack Logan on loan until the end of the season from city neighbours Hull FC, despite plans for the 21-year-old to stay with Doncaster.
Logan, who missed the majority of the 2016 campaign sidelined with a cruciate injury, becomes Rovers' last signing before the deadline for the Super 8's Qualifiers.
The outside back had been set to remain with dual registration partners Doncaster, having spent time at the club last month, but a late opportunity to play at a higher level with Tim Sheen's side arose on Friday.
The former England Academy player will team up again with fellow Hull FC loanee Jordan Abdull, who is also spending the year at KCOM Craven Park.
Logan, who provides cover for the centre and wing positions, has previous Super League experience with the Black and Whites after coming through the club's academy system, going on to score nine tries in 21 first team appearances.
A former England Academy international, Logan will link up with Hull KR with immediate effect after paperwork was submitted to the RFL before Friday's 5pm deadline.
Head coach Sheens said: "Jack is able to play in a few positions in the outside backs and has previous experience in Super League.
"He's had a couple of setbacks but he's back fit and available now and comes into the squad to provide extra cover.
"We weren't expecting to do any more business on the final day but we've managed to sort out a deal with Jack and Hull FC and we're looking forward to having him on board.
"This now completes our squad going into the Qualifiers."
