Verdict

Chu Chu Percy won over 3m at Newcastle in November and has improved since stepped up in trip. He’s only 5lb higher but has still has to give a couple of pounds to TAILOR TOM (NAP), who came through strongly to get off the mark in a better race at Bangor – the latter’s yard is still firing on all cylinders. Aramist is still a maiden over timber and it’s a long time since he won on the Flat – there’s no real evidence to suggest he stays this far. Gogo Baloo had modest points form and was never a factor back under Rules at Wetherby on Boxing Day.
