Mauricio Pochettino confirms Harry Kane will be fit to face Arsenal and discusses his own future at Tottenham

Harry Kane will be fit to play for Tottenham in the north London derby against Arsenal, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.

Kane has been left out of England's World Cup warm-up matches against Germany and Brazil this week following discussions between the club's medical staff and Gareth Southgate.

The Spurs striker had been recovering from a hamstring injury which forced him to miss his side's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on October 28, and was substituted late in the second half of the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday having gone down in the early stages.

"Harry is OK, he's very good. He received a kick in his knee, but don't worry, he will be available in the next game," Pochettino said at the launch of Guillem Balague's new book, Brave New World: Inside Pochettino's Spurs.

Tottenham sit four points ahead of their rivals Arsenal heading into their first derby of the season.

Arsene Wenger recently admitted to Sky Sports he is "frightened" by the prospect of retirement but convinced of his continuing "mission" at Arsenal in the 21st year of his reign.

Pochettino has now spent three and a half years at Spurs, but indicated it is too early to say whether he match the tenure of Wenger at Arsenal.

"My dream is to be here, to help the club achieve all the dreams we have," said Pochettino. "But I am a very spontaneous person. I'm always thinking, today, tomorrow.

"My commitment with the club and Daniel [Levy] is complete. It depends more on them [the Tottenham board] than me to be here more than 20 years.

"Tottenham is a club with a massive potential. After three and a half years we're still growing. I am so happy here. But you cannot guess what is going to happen in the future. Today my commitment is here."
