Kieran Trippier has left the England camp and returned to Tottenham.
The right-back was unable to train for the duration of the week at St George's Park, ahead of England's World Cup Qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia, as he continued rehabilitation on an injury sustained while playing for Spurs.
Gareth Southgate has no plans to call up a replacement at this stage, leaving Trippier's friend and former Spurs team-mate Kyle Walker in pole position to play against Malta on Friday night.
Fellow defender Phil Jones and midfielders Jake Livermore and Nathaniel Chalobah all trained on Thursday after missing England's training session 48 hours earlier.
Trippier missed the start of the Premier League season after picking up an ankle injury during Spurs' 2-0 win against Italian champions Juventus in pre-season.
But the 26-year-old played 90 minutes in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea as well as last Sunday's 1-1 draw with his former club Burnley.
England are top of World Cup Group F with six points and host Slovakia at Wembley on Monday, 72 hours after their game with Malta at the Ta'Qali National Stadium.
