Jose Mourinho could not resist making a dig at Arsenal after Alexandre Lacazette played the whole game

Jose Mourinho had a friendly dig at Arsenal after Alexandre Lacazette played 90 minutes in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, having been ruled out earlier in the week.

Arsene Wenger said Lacazette would "certainly" miss the Premier League showdown with a groin injury following their 5-0 drubbing of Huddersfield on Wednesday.

The France international pulled one back for Arsenal on Saturday to make it 2-1, as his side moved seven points adrift of their rivals.

Mourinho confirmed Nemanja Matic, who played the full 90 minutes against Arsenal, would be a doubt for the game and applauded both sets of medical staff for getting the players to back to match fitness, although he did so with an air of sarcasm.

"I don't want to forget my congratulations to both medical departments," said Mourinho.

"To recover Matic from a maybe to a yes and an Arsenal player from a no to a complete 90 minutes.

"Amazing, I congratulate them all."
