Andre Carrillo could make his debut when Watford host Premier League new boys Brighton on Saturday.

The 26-year-old joined the Hornets from Benfica on Thursday, having worked with Watford boss Marco Silva at Sporting Lisbon.

Watford are unbeaten in the Premier League this season after following up a 3-3 draw against Liverpool with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth. They did, though, lose at home to Bristol City in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

"We need to continue in our way, the way we showed in our first two Premier League matches," said Silva. "It's a tough game for sure.

"They [Brighton] are a team with good organisation...and I'm sure they will put new players into their attacking line."

A look ahead to Saturday's Premier League action

Brighton are one of five teams yet to pick up a point in the Premier League after losing to Manchester City and Leicester.

The newly-promoted Seagulls are also yet to score, although could be boosted by a debut for club-record signing Jose Izquierdo on Saturday.

Manager Chris Hughton said: "We can finish this season maybe happy with what we've done defensively as a side but it's going to be what we're able to do offensively that gets us where we want to be.

"That's why we have recruited what we have in recent weeks and we will continue to try and do so."

Opta stats

Watford have lost just one of their last 10 league meetings with Brighton & Hove Albion since the start of the 2005-06 season (W5 D4 L1).

Brighton have scored just four goals in their last seven league trips to Vicarage Road, all coming after half-time.

Since winning promotion back to the Premier League themselves in May 2015, Watford haven't lost at home to a newly-promoted side in the competition (W3 D2 L0) and have conceded just one goal in these five games (which was a penalty).

Highlights: Bournemouth 0-2 Watford

Brighton have lost their opening two Premier League games of the season. The last team to lose their first three games to a Premier League campaign were Southampton in 2012-13 and they ended the season in 14th place.

The Seagulls haven't scored a goal in their two Premier League matches so far. On only 11 previous occasions has a team failed to score in their first three games of a Premier League season, but none of those 11 teams have been relegated at the end of that campaign.

After his goal versus Bournemouth, Richarlison will be looking to become the fourth Brazilian player to score in his first two Premier League starts, after Gabriel Jesus, Robinho and Geovanni.

Watford striker Andre Gray has scored in all four of his previous league appearances against Brighton.

Merson's prediction

I've got to hold my hands up. I had Watford to go down at the start of the season but I watched them at Bournemouth and they were outstanding. Marco Silva is getting a right tune out of his side and I cannot see them going down - I made a big mistake there! He's brought in some exciting players to mix with the talent that was already at the club and I see them being too strong for a Brighton side whose nightmare start to the season continues.
