With the turmoil at Everton and manager Ronald Koeman constantly chopping and changing his side, there has been one constant this season. Ademola Lookman continues to be on the fringes of the squad but has only featured once in the month of September, a second half substitute in a 3-0 romp over hapless Sunderland in the Carabao Cup.

Now the Mirror are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are paying keen attention to the youngster’s situation at Goodison Park, with a view to signing him in January. Ironically, Lookman played and scored for the Under-23s as they soundly spanked Spurs’ youth side 4-1 earlier this month.

The Nigerian-origin player grew up in the city of London and joined the Blues in January for £11million from Charlton Athletic, with Spurs one of the sides interested in him at the time.

Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Huddersfield have also been reported as interested in the player. Palace attempted to sign Lookman before he joined the Toffees, and Huddersfield had tried to loan the player during the summer transfer window as well.

Lookman is yet to appear in a Premier League game this season after featuring eight times last season, scoring on his debut appearance against Manchester City.
