It was on, then it was off, now it may be on again - just not yet.
Ross Barkley was seemingly on the brink of a deadline day move to Chelsea after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £35m.
The midfielder even travelled down for a medical in London, but halfway through he had a change of heart.
Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri spoke live to Jim White on Sky Sports News confirming Barkley had changed his mind and was ready to consider his future in January.
To add further intrigue the Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law, an unofficial mouthpiece of all things Chelsea, was conveniently on hand to give their side of the story.

Law hinted that Barkley may well have failed his medical due to the hamstring injury he’s currently recovering from, rather than simply changing his mind.
He also said Chelsea may well come back in for Barkley in January - at a dramatically reduced price given he will have just six months left on his contract.
For now Barkley faces six months in limbo back at Finch Farm, with Moshiri appearing to hint that the 23-year-old would struggle to get into the side once fit.
