Everton academy coach Kevin Sheedy has left his position at the club, according to the Liverpool Echo.
It is not yet known known why the former Toffees winger has stepped down from his role at Finch Farm.

Sheedy is a club legend having made more than 360 appearances for the Toffees during the glory years in the mid 1980s, helping the club to two league titles and the European Cup Winners’ Cup.
He returned as a coach in 2006, working across various age groups at the academy, most recently with the Under-18s. The former Ireland international helped the young Blues win several honours including the 2016 Dallas Cup and 2014 Premier Academy League.

Sheedy also successfully battled bowel cancer after being diagnosed in 2012. Though the reasons for Sheedy’s departure remains unknown a set of tweets from journalist Paul Brown has hinted it could be part of an academy restructure.
There are so many changes taking place right throughout the club it’s almost inevitable that the academy will feel the effect of the Farhad Moshiri revolution.
Whatever happens though we wish Kevin all the best for the future and thank him for years of dedication to the Blues.
