Tuesday’s Toffee Bites: Yep, Chelsea still want Ross Barkley from Everton

You guys, I need help. I think...I think I’m starting to actually...like...Sam Allardyce. I’m sorry.

His tactics against Liverpool weren’t too fun, but draw 1-1 is a lot more fun than losing by any amount. Is Big Sam boring, or is he realistic? Whether the “Allardyce Effect” is real or not is up for debate. But Everton have been much better since he was appointed.

Will Allardyce be the guy that leads the Blues back to European prominence? It’s too early to say. But he has brought stability to the club and is setting the squad up well for a productive January. That is no little feat compared to where we were a month ago.
