Put yourself in Oumar Niasse’s shoes and go back in time a few years. First, he was Roberto Martinez’s prized target in January. Then, Everton sack the boss just months later. Almost immediately, new gaffer Ronald Koeman cast him away as “not good enough”. The man trained with the U23s exclusively and had his locker taken away. But he pushes on and fights for his place, ultimately becoming Everton’s best scorer at the moment. Even still, he won’t bad mouth Koeman.

He’s the best.
