Everton ended the 2016-17 season with a disjointed 3-1 loss away at Arsenal.

Everton looked overwhelmed to begin the game and within minutes of the start Arsenal were ahead. Hector Bellerin poked home at the far post with the Gunners lining up to score. And then Enner Valencia was brought down in full flight by Laurent Koscielny, who received a straight red card to even up the game.

Ronald Koeman went on to make a tactical change at the quarter mark of the game, bringing on Ross Barkley for Tom Davies. However, despite the Blues finding more space with the hosts a man down, it was Arsenal who got the next goal. Alexis Sanchez potted home while wide open as the ball pinged around the box.

Everton had a few chances to pull one back before the break, but poor passing and even worse finishing put paid to those chances.

Grade the Everton players in the poll below on how you think they did.
