Everton travelled to Liverpool looking for their first Merseyside Derby away win since 1999, but came away empty-handed once again, losing 3-1 on the day.

Individual mistakes led to goals for the Reds on either side of Matthew Pennington’s fortuitous opener for the Blues from a corner. Yet another error in the second half as the Toffees tried to clamber their way back into the game led to the Reds third that pretty much killed off the game.

In the end, Everton absolutely deserved the loss, with everything wrong - tactics, selection, mindset and errors.

Grade the players in the poll below on how you think they did.
