Sol Campbell named no fewer than four former Arsenal stars in his dream five-a-side team - but despite his brilliance, Dennis Bergkamp didn't make cut

The ex-Gunners centre back named his ultimate side on Soccer AM, where he provided reasons for every selection made.

Campbell was also required to name a manager and one substitution, picking himself and former Arsenal forward Nwankwo Kanu respectively.

Here's Campbell's team in full, which also features two Manchester United legends, who played alongside the defender for England.

Goalkeeper - David Seaman

The man between the sticks, directly behind Campbell during his greatest stint in football, so perhaps an obvious choice.

Revealing his selection, Campbell said: "His presence in the goal, he was a really good shot-stopper. He had that confidence and calmness as well."

Defender - Rio Ferdinand

Campbell enjoyed a great England career stood next to possibly the greatest centre half of his generation, Rio Ferdinand.

So again, Campbell's choice should come as no real surprise. Upon selecting Ferdinand, the Arsenal legend said: "For five-a-side when it's quick, and you have to move the ball quick, he's perfect for that."

Midfielder - Robert Pires

Moving into the centre of the park, and Campbell's first choice is one of the most technically gifted players to ever pull on the Arsenal shirt.

"For me his scoring ability," said Campbell, discussing Pires. "His vision, he can control the ball in very tight areas, he was exemplary, just incredible."

Midfielder - Paul Scholes

It wasn't just at Arsenal that Campbell shared a pitch with talented midfielders; there were a few in the England set-up at the time, including this man.

"I thought Scholes was incredible," said the ex-Arsenal defender. "He's got a really great shot in him. Also coming back, he's got a little bit of a defensive ability about him."

Forward - Thierry Henry

Henry just sneaked it for Campbell ahead of Bergkamp, although he admits it was a tough decision to make, given the talent of both stars.

Discussing the Frenchman, the defender said: "Sometimes you just need someone in a tight situation, in a big game, to be able to turn something out of nothing and get a goal."

Substitute - Nwankwo Kanu

Making it a total of four Arsenal players in his overall five-a-side team, Campbell selected Kanu to come on in times of trouble.
