"Why can't you do that for us?!" Arsenal fans react to Mesut Ozil scoring and assisting for Germany
The Arsenal playmaker might be under fire from fans for his Premier League form, but on Monday night he showed that he can still shine on the international stage
It is almost as though football is an unpredictable game, and one in which you can go from playing well in one match to underperforming in another pretty easily.
Almost.
It is so, so much more than that these days though, as we all know, and levels of righteous anger, joy, disappointment and delight have to match those levels pretty much constantly.
All of this is also known as "being an Arsenal fan."
There'll be no Germany legends criticising him after this... (

And there is no player in their current squad that Gooners have had more ups and down with than Mesut Ozil .
The German international has come under fire for recent poor performances for his club - including in the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool before the international break - but he was back on song for his country on Monday night.
Ozil both scored a fine effort and assisted a goal for Julian Draxler in the opening 17 minutes of the World Cup qualifier against Norway in Stuttgart.

And that, obviously, got Arsenal fans talking.
There were laments
Some people were making the obvious point
Some were wondering what Arsene Wenger must be making of it all
And Alexis Sanchez made an appearance too...
Never change, Gooners...
No, please, never change. We'd be out of a job otherwise.
