Wolfsburg are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool loanee Divock Origi on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old striker is currently spending the season on loan with the Bundesliga side, but according to a report in Bild, their sporting director wants to make the move a permanent one.

Olaf Rebbe told the German publication: “We will chat about what might be next some time before the summer.

“At 22, Divock's an extraordinary forward. He's exhibiting his talent here right now."

Origi has netted three times in eight games for Wolsburg, following his 11-goal haul for Liverpool last time out.

Emre Can has edged closer to the Anfield exit door, as talks over a new contract hit a roadblock.

The Germany international has just seven months left on his contract, and he can sign a pre-contract with rival European clubs in January.

Talks have moved slowly over the past 12 months, with manager Jurgen Klopp keen to keep the midfielder, who has emerged as a top class talent this season.

But it is thought the player’s wage demands are simply too high within the context of Liverpool's pay structure, with the club’s owners setting a strict limit of £75,000 a week on those players not deemed ‘marque’ signings.

He wasn't expected to be back for another two weeks but trained at Melwood on Thursday, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Mane , who has missed the past five matches, won't be considered for Saturday's Premier League trip to West Ham as he needs to build up his fitness levels.
