Roma are weighing up a move for Spurs defender Vlad Chiriches.
The Italian giants want to add the centre-back to their capture of the former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole on a free transfer.
Chiriches, 24, was bought for £7million from Steaua Bucharest as part of Tottenham’s £100million summer spending spree.
He has struggled, however, to hold down a regular first-team place at White Hart Lane.
Now the north Londoners could be ready to listen to offers for the Romania international, but it is understood they will not accept less than the amount they paid for him.
Chiriches is in London after withdrawing from his club’s tour of north America with a back problem.
Midfielder Sandro is also out of the tour with a virus.
