Paris-Saint Germain star Thomas Meunier has claimed he snubbed a deadline day move to Chelsea to stay in the French capital.
The 26-year-old right-back has struggled for first-team football this term following the arrival of Dani Alves at the Parc des Princes.
But he was apparently determined to stay and fight for his place at PSG rather than move to Stamford Bridge.
"I could have left for Chelsea on the final day of the transfer window," he told Belgian TV. "But I didn't want to join them. I am happy at PSG and I don't want to leave.'
