Sir Geoff Hurst believes that Harry Kane should snub Real Madrid and become a Tottenham legend.

World Cup winner Hurst insists that the prolific England striker is not guaranteed trophies if he was to move to Real, so should take a bumper new contract at Spurs and become a club hero.

"If they come up with the right money, £200,000-a-week or so, stay there Harry. You’re a great player. You’re loved at Tottenham," Hurst said as he joined the Mirror Football podcast, in association with Ladbrokes.

"I wouldn’t be regretful that I hadn’t moved to another club because you’re not guaranteed the trophies.”

Hurst spoke passionately on Kane, the state of modern day football, Philippe Coutinho, extortionate transfer fees and much more in an exclusive interview recorded at the London Boat Show.
