Manchester United will train as normal on Thursday - despite a bomb scare at their US training base, writes David McDonnell in Los Angeles.

A bomb scare has forced an evacuation at the UCLA campus where United have based themselves for their pre-season training camp.

The incident took place at 10pm local time in Los Angeles on Wednesday, while the United squad were back at the Montage Hotel, in Beverly Hills, where they are staying.

Halls of residence at the Westwood campus were evacuated, with students being ushered to the campuses Drake Stadium, where United have been training since Monday.

“We’ve just about concluded the search and nothing found,” said Leinweber.

A UCLA spokesman said the evacuation was "precautionary" and United sources confirmed training for Jose Mourinho's side would proceed as normal today.

United and Real Madrid , who are also training at UCLA, were present at the complex on Wednesday, and have not seen their schedules affected by the security alert.
