Does this video suggest Liverpool are resigned to losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona?

Footage posted on Twitter showed a member of staff taking down the giant image from the front window of the official store inn Williamson Square in the city centre.

Barcelona are set to return with a third bid after offers of £72million and £90m were rejected and fans on Twitter wondered if the move meant the 25-year-old is finally heading for Spain.

However, it seems the reason for the window display was something more mundane.

The Liverpool Echo reports that ALL players, plus manager Jurgen Klopp, were taken down in preparation for their Autumn fashion launch which begins on Monday.

So best wait to see if Coutinho is included in that launch before jumping to any conclusions.

The Brazil international handed in a transfer request on Friday with Liverpool insisting last season's 14-goal top scorer won't be sold.

Reports suggest a third bid is imminent, likely to be worth £100m, which could prove too much to resist.

The animosity between the player and the fans is emerging, despite his good nature, which could be a reason for the removal of the advert for the time being.

Whether it will return after the window shuts, remains to the be see, but it looks like a long couple of weeks for the Reds.
