Kurt Zouma had to be consoled by his teammates after Manchester City battered his Stoke City side 7-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, on loan from Chelsea, played the entire 90 minutes of the Premier League fixture and was helpless against the Citizens' onslaught.
Zouma looked devastated after the game and was quickly comforted by both Maxim Choupo-Moting and Mame Biram Diouf on the pitch.
But it seems that neither of the pair were able to console the Frenchman, clearly shocked that his side were on the wrong end of such a thumping.
Gabriel Jesus got the proceedings underway with a goal in the 17th minute before Raheem Sterling doubled the Citizens' lead moments later.
David Silva then added a third as City started to run away with the tie before Diouf and a Kyle Walker own goal sparked hope of an unlikely comeback.
But the optimism was very short lived. Fernandinho made it 4-2 on 60 minutes before Leroy Sane made it five.
Bernardo Silva then put the cherry on the top of the cake by making it seven with ten minutes of the game to play.
