Jose Mourinho is one of the best in the business - and his shut up shop tactics are entirely justified, according to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Manchester United boss has come under criticism for his approach to the recent Premier League fixtures against Liverpool and Tottenham, despite picking up one win and one draw.

United travel to Chelsea this weekend and former Stamford Bridge favourite Hasselbaink expects Mourinho to take the same approach.

Speaking exclusively on the Mirror Football podcast, Hasselbaink believes that Mourinho is simply doing what he has to in order to keep United in title contention.

"If you want to be successful, you have to have that,” Hasselbaink said. “You need to be able to keep the zero and Mourinho knows that.

"Out of everybody, he is one of the best at that.

"You are not going to go through a whole season and be pretty.

"Only Barcelona have been able to do that - and that was a team that has been nurtured for years and years.
