Wayne Rooney gave Ronald Koeman an extra lease of life after his last minute penalty earned Everton a draw at Brighton.

After going behind in the final 10 minutes, Rooney was given the chance to level the game from the penalty spot as the game entered stoppage time.

The former England captain dispatched with aplomb, saving Koeman's under threat job in the process.

Anthony Knockaert was the pick of the bunch for Brighton and his strike in the 82nd minute had looked to give Brighton another impressive result.

Despite his advancing age, he still has pace and is prepared to battle.
