Jack Wilshere impressed for Arsenal Under-23s against Derby County on Monday night as reports continue to rage on his future at the club.

The 25-year-old midfielder played 73 minutes in an entertaining 3-2 win for the Gunners - after being 2-0 down - in their Premier League 2opener.

Wilshere was eager to put in a good showing for Arsene Wenger amid reports of interest from Serie A giants Juventus and Newcastle United, along with a number of other clubs.

Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs were also in action, along with exciting young talent Reiss Nelson who scored a double to bring Arsenal level.

Coquelin was the only player from the quartet involved in the first-team's 4-3 win over Leicester City on Friday night.

Full-time ratings from St Georges Park

What a night.

Reiss Nelson was utterly superb but honourable mentions too to Eddie Nketiah and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who improved massively in the second half.

Substitutes Marcus McGuane and Josh Dasilva were also very, very good.

The ratings in the second half read far better than the first half.

FULL-TIME: Derby 2-3 Arsenal

What a win for Arsenal.

Kellan Gordan and Emil Jakobsen put Derby two up after 56 minutes but Arsenal staged a remarkable second-half fightback through two Reiss Nelson goals and an Eddie Nketiah winner in a devastating 19-minute second-half period.

Job done, but defensive concerns remain.

Three minutes of stoppage time

And Arsenal almost makes it four as Nelson speeds past the Derby midfield and slips in substitute McGuane but Derby keeper Barnes saves to keep the home side in it.

Derby hit the post!

Fair play to Ryan Huddart, who denies Alex Babos and then Offrande Zanzala having barely had a save to make all night.

He tipped Zanzala’s effort onto the post expertly.

GOAL! Derby 2-3 Arsenal - Eddie Nketiah!

Brilliant finish from the Arsenal frontman and the Gunners have completed a second-half fightback!

The ball deflects into his path and he takes it past the defender before burying a low finish.

Superb.

Nelson almost gets his hat-trick!

Arsenal are all over Derby now and Nelson almost makes it three.

The ball ricochets off home goalkeeper Barnes from Nketiah’s shot and it comes to Nelson, but his goalbound effort is blocked.

WATCH: Nelson puts Arsenal level

He is some talent.

Arsenal sub: Wilshere off, Marcus McGuane on and Coquelin off, Josh Da Silva on

73 minutes on the clock for Wilshere, who has been excellent.

Arsenal still vulnerable defensively

Arsenal almost gift Derby the ascendency once more as Jakobsen races clear from a ball over the top and fizzes a shot just wide.

The Gunners need to be more solid defensively.

Nketiah almost makes it three

Reine-Adelaide does brilliantly to get down the touchline and cross for Nketiah, but he can’t quite get in front of his marker.

A good chance to complete the comeback.

GOAL! Derby 2-2 Arsenal - Reiss Nelson!

Oh that is just sublime.

Nelson runs at the heart of the Derby defence and squares up his marker before bending the ball into the top corner.

Simply stunning!

GOAL! Derby 2-1 Arsenal - Reiss Nelson!

Arsenal are straight back in it with half an hour to go.

Coquelin slides in Reine-Adelaide, who clips the ball back to Nelson and his low volley finds the bottom corner.

Brilliant finish.

Goal: Derby County 2-0 Arsenal - Emil Riis Jakobsen

Poor defending from Arsenal as neither Pleguezuelo nor Bielik challenge for the ball and Jakobsen is slipped through before applying a neat finish into the far corner.

Arsenal have been dreadful at the back.

How are Arsenal lining up?

The half-time introduction of Pleguezuelo has forced Arsenal into a slight reshuffle.

Huddart

Pleguezuelo Bielik Maitland-Niles

Nelson Coquelin Wilshere Bramall

Reine-Adelaide Willock

Nketiah

Finally, the second half is up and running

We are back underway at St Georges Park, with Nketiah firing wide within seconds of kick-off from an acute angle.

Arsenal are STILL waiting

Derby are late out, with Arsenal having been on the pitch for at least five minutes.

Correction: Gibbs off, Pleguezuelo on

He played well offensively, but did not offer Bramall enough protection at the back.

The players are back out

Wilshere has returned to the field - and it doesn’t look like they are making any substitutes.

The thoughts of the fans

Maitland-Niles should be playing in central midfield.

Half-time ratings

A difficult opening 45 minutes for some Arsenal players.

Maitland-Niles and Reine-Adelaide, look away now...

HALF-TIME: Derby 1-0 Arsenal

Arsenal started brilliantly - but faded and Derby have capitalised.

Into injury time

Arsenal have faded as the half has worn on.

Into stoppage time, but Arsenal could do with the break now.

Break in play

A Derby player has taken a tumble and there are fears over a head injury, resulting in a pause in play.

Maitland-Niles struggling for Arsenal

Derby have started to target Arsenal’s right-sided defender.

He was at fault for the opening goal by gifting Derby possession and hasn’t recovered.

He needs half-time.

Goal: Derby 1-0 Arsenal (Kellan Gordon)

Really poor goal to concede from an Arsenal perspective, with Derby starting to turn the screw now.

Gordon is slipped through and he applies a simple finish underneath Huddart after being handed the freedom of the penalty area.

Derby go close again

The home side are starting to get a bit of joy on the flanks as Elsnik fizzes a low left-foot drive wide of Huddart’s left-hand post.

Moments later Zanzala somehow misses with an acrobatic effort when all he needed to do was head it home.

Wilshere goes close again

Coquelin does brilliantly to pull the ball back to the onrushing Wilshere but he can’t keep his header down and it flies over the crossbar.

Moments later, Wilshere spins a ball in behind for Nketiah, but he is offside and fires wide anyway.

Arsenal increasingly looking like a three at the back

Nelson and Gibbs are playing very high, with Willock and Jeff either side of Nketiah.

Wilshere fires just wide!

Jack Wilshere goes close to opening the scoring after another incisive passing move.

Nelson delivers an excellent cross to Gibbs on the far side and his cutback to Wilshere finds the midfielder’s darting run, but he can’t quite hit the target.
