Arsenal pair Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny have a chance of returning for the Gunners clash with Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Arsene Wenger said that Koscielny had a 30 per cent chance of playing against the champions, while Ozil is closer to a return and his knee injury will be assessed before the match.
But Arsenal will have to make do without full-back Sead Kolasinac after he took a knock to his ankle in the draw with West Brom at the weekend.
Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud are both still recovering from hamstring problems, while Nacho Monreal is again out with an ankle injury.
The Gunners will be looking to claw back ground on the top four, after a run of only two wins from their last five Premier League games has seen them fall behind in the race for a Champions League spot.
Provisional Arsenal squad: Cech, Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding, Mustafi, Koscielny, Chambers, Debuchy, Bellerin, Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Coquelin, Wilshere, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Iwobi, Sanchez, Welbeck, Walcott, Lacazette.
